FAQ
Pool Resurfacing questions
Short answers about how the referral works and what to expect from a provider.
How does this work?
Fill in the form with a few facts about your pool. Your request goes to a local provider, who contacts you with availability and a quote.
Does it cost anything to ask?
No. Asking is free and you do not have to hire anyone.
How much does pool resurfacing cost?
National guides put most pools around $6,000 to $15,000, lower for plaster and higher for pebble, though another source reports a lower average. Only a provider who sees the pool can give the real number.
Plaster, quartz or pebble for a humid climate?
Several pool sources describe plaster as the most stain-prone finish and pebble as the most stain resistant, with quartz in between. Aggregates cost more. A provider can compare them for your pool.
Can I drain my pool myself before the resurface?
Be careful. An empty inground pool can be lifted by groundwater, especially after heavy rain. Ask the provider who will do the work how and when the pool should be drained.
How long does resurfacing take?
Guides describe roughly one to two weeks of work on the pool, plus several weeks of start-up care. Weather, repairs and size can stretch that.
Can a fiberglass or vinyl pool be resurfaced?
Fiberglass pools can be recoated and vinyl pools take a new liner, a different job from replastering concrete. Tell us your pool type.
Which areas are covered?
Macon and the nearby towns on the service area page. Providers confirm they can reach your address.
Ready for a real number?
